Steel Flat Top Rackable Fence Production Process

Material

All incoming pipes are sampled piece by piece to check outer diameter and wall thickness. We control the outer diameter tolerance within ±0.2mm and wall thickness deviation within ±5% of the design value to ensure all parameters fully comply with the requirements of the fence construction drawing, and control quality from the source.

Cutting

After raw material unloading and preparation, profiles are cut by a CNC cutting machine according to design requirements, with cutting length error controlled within ±1mm, to obtain pipe blanks of the required specified size.

Punching

Punching is processed on cut pipes with customized positioning jigs. We control aperture tolerance within ±0.1mm and hole position deviation within 0.5mm to meet the accuracy requirements of subsequent assembly.

Product Assembly

Assemble the pipe frame and mesh into finished fence panels according to the assembly drawing. The torque of key connection parts is controlled at 8-12N·m, ensuring that the overall flatness deviation is no more than 2mm per square meter, with a firm, loose-free structure.

Perform Sandblasting

We spray high-speed particles to clean and roughen the workpiece surface. This process can completely remove impurities such as rust, residual oil and oxide scale, and bring the surface roughness to Ra 40-60μm, laying a good foundation for subsequent surface coating.

Surface Pretreatment

After sandblasting, phosphating treatment is performed to form a uniform phosphating film on the workpiece surface, with film thickness controlled at 1-3μm. The phosphating film itself has certain anti-corrosion capability, and can provide excellent adhesion for paint, powder coating and other organic coatings, effectively extending the service life of the final coating.

Powder Coating

Electrostatically spray epoxy-polyester hybrid powder on the pretreated workpiece surface, then transfer it to a curing oven and cure at 180-200℃ for 15-20 minutes. This process endows the finished product with outstanding rust resistance and corrosion resistance, and delivers a uniform, aesthetic coating.

Quality Control

We carry out full inspection for each finished product, testing pipe wall thickness, structural connection strength and powder coating thickness. The coating thickness is controlled within 60-120μm to ensure all products meet delivery standards, and unqualified products are blocked before leaving the factory.

Packaging

We adopt a professional packaging scheme (custom pearl cotton + winding stretch film + reinforced wooden pallets) to avoid coating scratches and collision deformation during transportation, ensuring products arrive at customer sites intact.

How to Install A Steel Flat Top Rackable Fence?

Planning and Measurement:

• Determine the fence line: Use ropes, lime powder or spray paint to mark the desired fence line.
• Measure the slope: Use a level and a tape measure to measure the slope at different locations. Note down the areas with significant slope changes.
• Determine the position of the posts: Based on the length of the fence panel and the manufacturer’s recommendations, determine the spacing of the posts. In areas with significant slope
• changes, it may be necessary to shorten the post spacing to increase stability.
• Consider drainage: Ensure that the fence does not impede drainage, especially in areas with heavy rainfall.

Install the post:

• Digging the pillar holes: Use a hole-digging tool or a shovel to dig the pillar holes. The depth of the holes should be determined based on the local frost line and the height of the fence. Usually, the depth of the holes should be 1/3 to 1/2 of the height of the fence.
• Setting up the pillars: Place the pillars into the holes and use a leveler and a verticalizer to ensure the pillars are vertical.
• Fixing the pillars: Use concrete to fix the pillars. Ensure the concrete is mixed evenly and filled into the holes. Use wooden sticks or steel bars to tamp the concrete, removing air bubbles.
• Caring for the concrete: Follow the instructions of the concrete manufacturer to cure the concrete for at least 24-48 hours.

Install the fence panels:

• According to the manufacturer’s instructions, adjust the angle or height of the fence panels to accommodate uneven ground.
• Attach the fence panels to the posts using the dedicated fence clips.
• After installation, tighten the locking screws of all adjustment nodes, and check the verticality of the posts and the stability of the fence.
