The first and most crucial step in aluminum pool gate production is the thorough inspection of raw materials. This ensures that the aluminum tubes and powder coatings meet industry standards. Inspecting all incoming raw materials thoroughly. We mainly use high-strength aluminum alloy profiles. The dimensional requirements for aluminum tubes are extremely strict, including outer diameter and wall thickness. Controlling the tolerance within 0.15 mm to ensure the structural strength and stability of the product.
Once the raw materials pass inspection, they move on to the cutting phase. We use high-precision CNC cutting equipment to cut round and square aluminum tubes to the exact length specified by the design. The cutting accuracy can be controlled to 0.5 mm. Square tubes usually form the horizontal beams in the gate frame, while round tubes are used as vertical rods. Precision cutting at this stage ensures that all components can be accurately aligned during the subsequent assembly process, thus ensuring the structural integrity and visual beauty of the final product.
Once cut, the horizontal beams go through a punching process to create the necessary holes for the vertical rods. We do this with a CNC punching machine, which allows for very small hole position deviations and a precise match between the hole diameter and the outer diameter of the vertical rod. The punched holes on the top horizontal beam are blind holes, allowing the vertical rod to be inserted only to a certain depth, while the holes on the bottom horizontal beam are through holes, allowing for a secure connection with the vertical tube and double-sided welding.
Welding is a critical part of the aluminum pool gate production process. The top horizontal beam with blind holes is welded to the vertical tubes only on the sides, while the bottom horizontal beam, with through holes, requires dual-sided welding on both the top and bottom of the joints. The spacing of the vertical bars must be consistent, and the welding points on all bars should be symmetrical, with a weld point length of at least 5mm on each side. This step guarantees that the gate maintains its structural strength while presenting a clean, professional appearance.
After welding, the gate undergoes a chromium-free passivation process. The aluminum surface is thoroughly treated to form a dense and uniform protective film with a thickness of about 50-200 nanometers. This passivation process can not only significantly improve the corrosion resistance of aluminum, but more importantly, it can greatly enhance the adhesion of the next stage of powder coating.
The gate is then moved into the powder coating stage, where epoxy-polyester powder is evenly sprayed over the surface. The coating thickness is precisely controlled between 80-120 microns, ensuring excellent weather resistance, scratch resistance and corrosion resistance. The sprayed gate will be cured at a high temperature of 180-220℃ for 20 minutes to form a hard and uniform protective coating.
Once the powder coating is complete, the gates undergo a rigorous quality inspection. This phase ensures that all dimensions, coatings, and welds meet the highest standards. Inspectors check the finish for uniformity in color and texture. Then verify the weld points and overall structure are free from defects. Any discrepancies are immediately addressed, as quality control is vital to maintaining a high standard of production.
The final step in the aluminum pool gate production process is packaging, which ensures that safely transported the gates to their destination without damage. Wrapping each product initially with stretch film to prevent scratches. Using cardboard sheets to protect vulnerable areas like corners, securing the gates onto metal pallets with sturdy packing straps. For bulk shipments, additional protection such as plywood or metal frames is placed between pallets to prevent shifting during transport. These packaging practices ensure that the gates arrive in perfect condition, ready for installation.
